Open the document.
Click on the section and specifically right behind the word where you want to insert the footnote.
Click on “Insert footnote” in the formatting bar.
A small dialogue box opens under the section, and you can enter the content of the footnote.
Click on “Save,” and the footnote is inserted.
Footnotes are consecutively numbered in the document. In order to access a footnote quickly, select the “Footnote” tab from the table of contents. By clicking on the tile, you are guided to the respective section.
