Usually, the so-called “clean” version of a document (i.e., without already existing change suggestions) is shown in the review mode when editing a section of text in order to improve the clarity.
However, many people do not want to forgo the viewing of existing suggestions for change when editing a section of text. This is why the so-called “Live Redline” must be activated.
The view while editing a section then occurs in two areas.
1. The changes are inserted in the upper area.
2. The changes that have been made are displayed at the same time in color in the lower area of Live Redline.
Current changes that have been performed since the beginning of the editing mode are highlighted in color in Live Redline. Additions and deletions are written in green or red on a yellow background. This way, you can immediately recognize, in particular in longer editing processes, which changes you have recently incorporated and would like to propose for decision.
